Isn’t brunch the best meal of all? I would have brunch 3 times a day if I could. And pâté chinois, but that’s another story. I’m just back (that’s not right anymore, I wanted to post this Saturday but got busy, it is now Monday 6 AM!) from Cartet, a nice restaurant/boutique in Old Montreal, where I had informal brunch with Justin, Colin and Julien Smith. Colin showed up wearing the most bad-ass fur boots I have ever seen – Agaguk would have drooled with envy at the sight of them!
Justin had set up this brunch so that I could meet with Julien. This guy has been in the SEO business for quite some time now and done great stuff for Stress Limit Design. By the way, you can have a look at his blog by clicking here. Of all the things that were said during lunch, what I understood as being the basis of SEO and social media is link building. Basically your website traffic is proportional to the amount of quality, editorial inbound links to your site. Justin had mentioned it before and I knew he was right, but somehow I haven’t spent much time yet on building those links on the projects I’m working on. I’ve been quite busy so far with structure optimization, but come to think of it, this is as important and should be taken care of. So today, I’ll be working at building links.
I’ve been listening to Royal Trux the whole weekend, especially their album Accelerator. They have a song on there called Juicy Juicy Juice, which I have attached here for you to listen to. Granted, it’s got more to do with smack than link juice, but eh! it’s good nonetheless!
